Allied Wire and Cable
Allied Wire and Cable is a full-line manufacturer and
distributor of electronic wire, cable, tubing, and peripheral items.
As a family-owned business since 1988, it has blossomed into one
of the largest independent distributors of wire and cable products
in the country.
The company has been involved in international trade since
the early 1990s and attributes 15% of its gross sales to exports.
Because American-made products have become so popular
overseas, there has been a greater need for foreign companies to
work with a reliable supplier in the states. Allied Wire and Cable
has been so successful because it assists these companies with
their wire and cable needs for products they do not have the ability
to make themselves.
Tim Flynn, CEO, believes that
"trade barriers are speed bumps on a road to
international trade success. Too many roadblocks
and the end user will look for solutions outside of
the United States. We must do all we can to make
the international trade process as streamlined and
painless as possible if we are going to survive in the
international marketplace."
